Why Replace the Fitting Instead of the Whole Turbo?

The original connection is plastic and can become brittle after repeated heat cycles. It may crack or snap during hose removal or nearby service. This replacement restores the connection with aluminum while retaining the factory-style hose routing and original sealing location.

How to Confirm This Is the Part You Need

1. Confirm the vehicle has the turbocharged 2.5L SKYACTIV-G engine.
2. Locate the ejector / vacuum fitting on the turbocharger.
3. Compare the hose connections and mounting location with the product photos.
4. Make sure the turbocharger housing itself is not damaged.

A damaged ejector or related hose connection can contribute to EVAP or purge faults such as P04F0, P144C, or P0496 on some vehicles. A trouble code alone does not confirm this part is the cause. Inspect the fitting and hose connection before ordering.

Installation

The original fitting is retained by a tamper-resistant bolt and part of the plastic body obstructs fastener access. Removal requires carefully exposing the fastener without damaging the turbocharger housing or allowing debris into open passages.
