Do I really need a license plate mount on my ATV or dirt bike?

Yes. Many states, including Utah, require a visible rear plate when riding on public trails, shared roads, or designated OHV areas. Because manufacturers don’t include a mounting location, an aftermarket bracket is required.

Why can’t I just zip-tie the plate to my rack or fender?

You can, but it often results in:

  • Plates breaking off during rides

  • Cracked plastics

  • Plates becoming unreadable (which can lead to fines)

A proper mount ensures long-term durability and a clean, professional appearance.

Fitment & Compatibility

Do these brackets require drilling?

No. All Elite Engineering brackets are direct-fit. They use factory holes or frame mounting points. We avoid drilling plastics completely.

Are your brackets universal?

No. Universal mounts look sloppy and often break.
We engineer machine-specific brackets.

How do I know if it fits my machine?
